Yes, we skipped forward a month. While the missing month would be great material for a bonus book, it contains a lot of subtle variations on a theme. And a month's worth of subtle variations on a theme would be a bad idea for the pacing of the comic right now. That and if they went on dates, it'd be too easy to put them on wacky dates, and that'd be venturing a bit too far into sitcom territory.

When I was lettering this, I was thinking of changing Sofia's line in the second panel to "what if she's not comfortable with a man who's assertive", but that implied "a man" more than it implied Brisbane - Terrence

This was more for the audience than for the characters, really. Because Brisbane and Kimberly have see each other quite a bit over the last month. And if anything, she's doing this for Sofia's "benefit" - Isabel

Originally, Sofia's line was "I'm not your boyfriend, I can support myself". It didn't quite ring true. We both came up with the exact same phrase at the exact same time - Terrence

Since Brisbane left suddenly, he didn't take much with him. He doesn't have a lot of stuff and he didn't have the courage to go back and get what he left behind.
