 Monday, October 25th 2004 - [124]A Date in the Park (11 of 15)
Original Commentary
Remember being a kid? When the idea of gluing a stick to a piece of paper was fun? Well, neither do Brisbane and Kimberly.
Modern Commentary
I'm sure the information brochure made it sound like a lot of fun. That and it's good to just try new things.
Fortunately, neither of them are having a good time here; it kinda sucks when one partner is enjoying themself and the other just wants to leave. - Terrence

Original Commentary
I suppose the idea of Kimberly, with her Barbie doll measurements, being worried about her weight should make me feel more secure as a woman. But it doesn't- considering she has no control over her weight- I do. So, have another piece of pie, Kimberly. When you get down to it- it's still about her being frugal... if she gained weight- she'd have to go buy a new wardrobe.
Modern Commentary
Brisbane, the girl is literally saying she had a good time and wants to go back to your (mutual) place. I understand that you're having fun and don't want the night to end, but this is not the time to stop at the 24-hour burger joint. Take the hint, kid. - Terrence

Original Commentary
Never having to say goodbye is one of the best perks of living together.

Original Commentary
I wonder how many times this has happened to our poor hero. More than he'd like to mention, most likely.
Modern Commentary
...just to knock them down.
I can't say for certain how far things would have gone if Kimberly weren't sick, in part because there wasn't any other way this was going to go. I mean, Brisbane wasn't ready for sex, or at least wasn't ready to be pressured into it. But there are a variety of steps between here and there.
Just as well they didn't get that burger. Being sick sucks, but being sick out in public is worse. - Terrence Friday, October 29th 2004 - [128]A Date in the Park (15 of 15)
Original Commentary
Brisbane in a pink ruffled apron= hilarity. It's a good thing Lola didn't put those picture phones in yet (and raise their rent once again). Even while sick, Kimberly can still work that man... makes me wonder why they're not married yet.
Modern Commentary
I don't know why they sell orange juice with pulp in it. When was the last time you had a drink - any beverage of your choice - and thought "this would be better with chunky bits in it"? Boba does not count.
I'm not sure exactly what Emily told Brisbane to tell Kimberly. Probably "Get well soon". I hope. I'm not sure how "avoiding her" would work, They work at the same place. Emily can just walk to Kimberly's desk any time she wants.- Terrence Sunday, October 31st 2004 - [129]Kimberly Taylor: crushing fan boys since 2000(1 of 1)
Modern Commentary
One of the advantages of standalone Sundays is that we can schedule around holidays like this. We've had our Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas comics run a few weeks late at times because my storylines tend to run a bit long.
Why do they go to Emily's Halloween parties? Because she's the only one who sent them an invitation. The Lounge Guys don't throw Halloween parties. They probably go trick-or-treating without costumes - Terrence
