Original Commentary

I don't think Miz Taylor has shown up with the same hair cut two story arcs in a row. I swear, one of these days, she's going to show up bald or something. Or maybe not.

originally, Kimberly was going to be wearing a turtle neck sweater as well, but it looked too freaky, mother and daughter dressing virtually the same- or at least it looks that way in the black and white line art. Thank goodness someone invented color. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
Isabel wrote this one. I can tell by the script, but the biggest tell is that the first comic actually does something instead of just establishing the scene - Terrence

Original Commentary

You know Brisbane has to be a good sport about all this... if he complained at all to Kimberly, he would just get yelled at- after all, it's not like Kimberly is planning her wedding with her mother because SHE wants to... and if Brisbane were to show his disdain to Miz Taylor... there's a chance he could be fired. He weighed his options and now has the cleanest kitchen on their entire apartment floor (and must have his Final Battle Adventure On-Line character in it's mid-70's by now). -Isabel

Modern Commentary
We had been married for five years at this point, so we kinda remembered how the wedding planning went. Now it's 22 years and a very distant memory - Terrence

Original Commentary

Is Miz Taylor plotting anything...? Oh, I don't know... wanting to get "the family" together.. yeah, perfectly innocent... *whistles*. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
Ms Taylor wants them to be a family. More specifically, she wants them to be a family that she's in charge of.

But if she had to choose between those two things, she'd choose family.

Original Commentary

Don't you hate it when people call your bluff? Kimberly really should've been prepared for this. Maybe next time- Terrence

Modern Commentary
I wish Kimberly had phrased that a bit better in the second panel. More of a "We'd love to, but - "

But I'm trying not to edit the comics as I go. Partly because things should be as they were, and partly because if I start rewriting things I'll never stop. - Terrence

Original Commentary

Yes, Kimberly's ears are pierced. She just doesn't wear earrings often. She had them in the (redone) intro to Unlike Minerva, but many of the minor art details were inconsistent back in my days of new artists every week - Terrence

Modern Commentary
The original title for this storyline was "Thanks for nothing" but that seemed a little glib - Terrence

Original Commentary

I did a lot of last minute re-writing to this comic... as I was drawing it, I noticed something... in the original version, Miz Taylor lived in a house and had maids. Miz Taylor is way too cheap for something like that- she has a small business that she feels has too many employees- there's no way she would have butlers or things like that. She may have a cleaning lady come in once a week, but I can't see her having anyone on full time... cheap lady. XD -Isabel

Modern Commentary
Yeah, Ms. Taylor always struck me as a "luxury apartment" type - Terrence
