Original Commentary
This stupid comic took forever to make if only because stupid Photoshop decided to crash after an hour of experimenting with effects and coloring of this comic. Fortunately, at the least, I was able to recolor the comic a second time in less time than it took the first because I knew what I needed to do to get the effect I wanted.
That rain through the window shining down on them as shadows from the moonlight was from a rain effect I made for a Namir Deiter arc two years ago. I now keep every background I make, even if it's for a one-time event... you never know when you're going to need it again.-Isabel
Modern Commentary
You can tell Isabel wrote this because of the intense rain effects.
We used to live in South Florida; I remember the intense thunderstorms we'd get at night and sometimes we kinda miss them. Now we're in the deserts of Southern California and there's a lot less of that here.

Original Commentary
This has been the first time we've seen that window open like that... I actually ended up just hand drawing that due to time (sometimes it takes longer to digitally make backgrounds). I really love how whiney and complaining Kimberly is in this arc... as professional and serious as she can be at times, it's nice to see her open up and show her weaknesses around Brisbane. -Isabel Modern Commentary
Brisbane tries to be positive, even though Kimberly really isn't wrong

Original Commentary
Terrence really liked this comic and I must admit I do to... I love what a brat Kimberly can be when she doesn't sleep right. Poor thing- I know the feeling. -Isabel
Yes, we know that sunlight is to do with vitamin D, and that scurvy is a deficiency of vitamin C. But Kimberly doesn't, and more people have heard of scurvy than of rickets, thanks to pirates - Terrence.
Modern Commentary
"We'll surely avoid scurvy if we all eat an orange" - Guybrush Threepwood
But Ms. Taylor doesn't always show up for work. That's a detail that will become very important at least twice in the future - Terrence Thursday, June 14th 2007 - [878]Company Picnic (4 of 12)
Original Commentary
This, unfortunately, is the kind of conversation men have been having with the women in their lives for decades. The whole "woman twisting something to sound like something else" conversation is not new, but all the same, I'm sure Brisbane still doesn't know how to handle it.
So, how bad is work life with a pair of former Vaudeville actors now turned a sales-and-marketing duo? I think I just answered my own question...-Isabel Modern Commentary
Richard and Sinclair don't have a "medium" setting. They're all silliness, all the time, and Kimberly is the straight man and the audience...

Original Commentary
My, but Brisbane and Kimberly's relationship has changed in over the last few months. I was going to say something about how Isabel and I keep meaning to go out for a picnic but never get around to it, but after that first panel... - Terrence
Modern Commentary
What kind of surprise is Kimberly expecting in the park there?

Original Commentary
I honestly could say that I had no idea about how this comic would come out... depending on my mood, my skill and my luck. I think it worked out very well in what I was trying to do with my limited skills.
That is indeed a small photo of Brisbane on Kimberly's desk...not sure how recent the photo is... for all we know it might have been a photo of him from his High School days from Sofia (since I doubt Brisbane would carry one with him). -Isabel Modern Commentary
I mean, they live together. They don't have a car. He couldn't exactly sneak a whole picnic lunch out while she wasn't looking
But yeah, Brisbane is totally a hopeless romantic. Sometimes, that works out.
