Original Commentary

When working out the basics for this week's arcs, we used the "we both talk while one of us writes the gist of what we're talking about, and later the other actually write the scripts out" method of writing. In this case, Terrence wrote while we talked, I wrote the actual scripts. I can't go into too many details as it would spoil the rest of this arc, but we were laughing quite a bit, at Brisbane mostly.-Isabel

Modern Commentary
Brisbane is doing a pretty bad job of this.

He's lucky that Kimberly likes him. - Terrence

Original Commentary

The action of Kimberly seeing Brent and taking him off the counter (that's his tail and bottom in that third panel) was all Terrence...

And because I know it's going to come up... Kimberly's hand is not backwards, she's showing the camera her palm. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
I had remembered Brent playing a larger part in this. He doesn't care about their human emotions. Not when there's Forbidden Stew full of deadly-to-brants ingredients to try to steal a bite of.

I don't recall exactly what our cats did to inspire this, but we were having a moment and they decided that was the perfect time to get into a fight or throw up a hairball or knock something off the shelf. - Terrence

Original Commentary

I think poor Brisbane is too afraid to open his eyes...

I don't recall which one of us is to blame came up with the idea of a week of Brisbane babbling on and on and not listening to Kimberly... I think it would have been better if we were on the full schedule, but would have gotten old twice as fast... at least Kimberly has slowly been making progress on getting Brisbane to acknowledge the fact that she indeed said yes. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
She put on the ring right after he gave it to her. Should she have let him finish? I mean, he'd pretty much keep going forever if she did that... - Terrence

Original Commentary

This comic took me forever. I'm surprised I didn't rub a hole through the paper with the way I keept erasing and redrawing that middle panel (and as some of you may know, I don't erase on these things... it's usually not worth the effort it takes, but with this comic, I made an exception). While one of my many attempts at drawing the kissing panel, the song "Always" (by Atlantic Star) came on... it was a very chick flick moment, I must say. I managed to get the panel finished by the end of the song... they played a lot of romantic huggy-kissy sort of songs on the radio today... or at least, they stood out to me more today.

The orgional script did not have the kiss, panel one was panel two, but panel three was still panel 3. Panel one basically (I don't have the exact, script, but that's how it goes sometimes) Brisbane: "The point is... I love you, let's get married" and , of course she agrees (again). I felt this way was better and more romantic. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
And we're back to a five-day-a-week schedule, starting mid-week!

We really should have planned that schedule thing better.

But I really, really like the last panel there. - Terrence

Original Commentary

We both agree that Brisbane looks better without his glasses on. I'm sure Kimberly does too. I'm sure Kimberly thinks he looks better without a lot of things on. Brisbane can't really see himself too well without his glasses and has no opinion - Terrence

Modern Commentary
What were they doing in bed that would let people know they were engaged? They've been having sex for a while now.

No, wait, I don't want to know - Terrence
