Just so everyone's on the same page, Brisbane is tucking his shirt in the middle panel, nothing more. Terrence wrote the first panel of this comic two days ago, I filled in the rest... Kimberly and her mother have a very strange relationship... I'm sure they would both somewhat like to get to know the other, now that they are all adults, but neither of them is quite sure how to build a mother-daughter relationship.
I had Brisbane without his glasses on for just one more day... for me. XD -Isabel
Modern Commentary
I wouldn't say that Ms Taylor likes Brisbane better. But she knows how to deal with Brisbane.

The glasses are back, unfortunately...
Some of you may have noticed that originally this arc was to have ended last week (last Friday, to be exact). But then another comic was added... then another...
Well, this is all due to Terrence asking me some detailed questions about the wedding. It got me thinking, "Brisbane and Kimberly should be having this conversation". And so... they are. Not sure how long this arc will go on as we might also do some other wedding-related things next. -Isabel Modern Commentary
So what does Kimberly have from her father's business ventures? What companies did he invest in?
Yeah, Kimberly must have tracked down and consolidated a LOT of storage units...

Terrence and I have been doing a lot of planning for this... it feels like we're doing more planning for their own wedding than we did of our own... of course, it's been almost five years now, so time may have blurred my memories... but this at least feels like as much planning as one would do for a real wedding (minus the money XD). -Isabel
Modern Commentary
We hired a wedding planner. The advantage they have is that they know the right people. If I had to track down a caterer, a DJ, an officiant, and such I'm not sure I could. Or at least not with confidence that they were good at their job.
Kimberly knows people. She might have offered wedding planning at her booth once or twice, back in the Unlike Minerva days- Terrence Thursday, March 8th 2007 - [809]A good question (12 of 14)

Isabel wrote this comic tonight. We're still debating exactly what happens next. I meant to write a comic while at work, but things got too busy for me to do so - Terrence Modern Commentary
The implication is that if a young couple is getting married at short notice, she's pregnant and trying to handle this before the birth.
In retrospect, maybe we should have gone for two or three months, a more plausible "before she begins to show" timeline.
The original script was nine months, which is right out if you've just found out you're pregnant...

There were two ways this arc could've gone. We really couldn't decide what we were going to do with it. Ultimately, we decided on one but we're holding it off for a little while. That's all I'm saying - Isabel
Modern Commentary
We probably had a brief conversation about what day it is in the comic. As I've mentioned, Namir Deiter moved in real time. You Say it First, time moves when we tell it to. I don't feel any compulsion fo it to be a year later in-comic just because we've done a year's worth of comic.
However, I'm sure I didn't have a good answer for the inevitable follow-up question: So what day should it be, then?
The actual wedding ended up being almost exactly one year later. Planning!

I actually ended up writing this comic (and yesterday's) while we were waiting on our car when we took it into the auto shop... we were there a while, actually.
I know this is a sort of anti-climatic way of ending the story arc... but there really were only so many we could have ended it without, well, ENDING it... if that makes any sense.-Isabel Modern Commentary
There are some circumstances where it's appropriate to not tell your parents. I wouldn't judge folks for that or try to imply that it has to be done.
But considering they both work for her mom, it's going to be a thing...- Terrence
