Original Commentary
Am I like this on a Monday morning? No. My week begins on Saturday. I'm very much like this on Saturday and Sunday morning; there are two conflicting thoughts within my head (yes, the angel and devil are so very cliched), one saying that it's the weekend and I should stay up late, the other saying that I just finished my weekend and have to wake up at 5:30 to go to work. I usually compromise and stay up late, then wake up at 5:30 and go to work. It's not a very good system. And yes, our cat believes that we should be playing with him overnight and expresses his feelings. He also believes that Isabel should play with him when she's drawing and colouring and tends to jump on her keyboard and sketchbook in the middle of things. I've been very tempted to wake him every ten minutes when he's sleeping to see how he likes it, but the idea seems cruel and fairly boring - Terrence Modern Commentary
This storyline, "More No Sleep Blues" is named after an Unlike Minerva storyline which is named after an Incredible String Band song. - Terrence

Original Commentary
Poor Brisbane... he's already fallen hard for the little guy. Only a pet lover can take a chomping like that and still have a smile on their face.
This is the first night they have had the little fur ball in their apartment, FYI. I should mention that in the upcoming comics, though. Let's see how long Kimberly is going to take all this from it. -Isabel Modern Commentary
YSiF is running four days a week this month because we didn't make the donation goal back in October of 2005.
Fortunately, this schedule changed happened right when we started a new storyline. As I've mentioned, sometimes we didn't know how many comics we'd do in a week until right before it ran. - Terrence Thursday, October 6th 2005 - [420]More No sleep blues (3 of 4)

This is one of those comics where Isabel told me a script, I wrote it down, and ended up with something totally different than what she had originally intended. Fortunately, she rewrote it. In my version, Brisbane was wishing he had thought of kicking the pet out of his room, because I missed Kimberly's line in the third panel. It works considerably better in the version we have up now - Terrence Modern Commentary
I mean, would Brisbane think about crawling into Kimberly's bed when she's asleep? He's hesitant about how a relationship can go wrong when his entire life is dependant on Kimberly and her family. He's also a strong believer in the formalities of relationships, and we'll see more of that later.
Kimberly is more likely to sneak into Brisbane's bed than vice versa.

We need to show more of the nice side of the pet in the very near future. He's not malevolent or evil. He just has these instincts that don't mix well with civilized living. And he does like Kimberly, just not Brisbane. - Terrence Modern Commentary
Brants sleep 18 hours a day. All eighteen of those hours are scheduled for whenever Brisbane isn't trying to sleep.
