Isabel is having one of those days. This comic was late because she drew, inked, and completely finished the first comic in the next arc. Then she double-checked and realized that this arc still has two weeks to go and she had to put up a completely different comic for tonight. It's been one of those days - Terrence

Aww, Brent and... girl Brent are so cute. I don't think she's ever been given an official name, just the legal name on her papers... she really should come up with something (which means we should come up with a name...). They are so cute together.

I don't think either Patrick of Sofia were expecting to be so impressed with each other, especially considering their last conversation. Patrick may look like he's wearing the exact same type of suite he usually wears, but really, it's a... high thread count... alpaca wool... hand woven... really, really expensive type of suit... that I know nothing about. Which is why it looks almost exactly like the kind of suits he usually wears. But it does have special little front pockets... that should count for something. -Isabel

I'm a little surprised that Sofia told Patrick where she lives. It's not a bad apartment, but you'd think that she'd want to pretend she lives somewhere a little fancier. - Terrence

Is Sofia's theory correct? Well, it's plausible. Ms. Taylor isn't exactly a major player at these events and they're lucky to remember what she does and that her kid got married. Mr. Taylor would have a great time networking here, which is why they didn't invite him - Terrence

I so hate drawing crowds... in panel one there was originally a view of the art auction, but it look really strange to me, so I ended up erasing it and putting more old people in it's place.-Isabel

Sofia used to be so refined before she started showing up in You Say it First. Of course, it's easier when your defining character trait is "wants to be a princess" and you don't really need to interact with the rest of the world - Terrence

There was supposed to have been a mentioning of "before they remember you from meeting you [Patrick] with your father" but it did not get added, which is a great annoyance. Oh well, too late. :| - Isabel

I had intended for there to be parallels in this comic to this comic and as such, draw parallels between Sofia's two suitors. Patrick is certainly the more dominant (and arguably more successful) one, while Dr. Paul has a lot of heart, but lacks motivation (for lack of a better term). But I think Patrick has Dr. Paul licked on the looks department. - Isabel

The difference is that Sofia thought Patrick was doing this because he liked her and Ms. Taylor had merely suggested it. Not that he haad to be forced to do this. - Terrence
