For about half an hour, around after Midnight, if you went to go look at the comic for today's YSIF, you would have noticed that Jane looked quite a bit like Joy today...

These "uploading the wrong comic to the wrong directory" problems used to be very, very rare back when we used WS- FTP... but with our current FTP program, it's happening once or two a month now- if not more. It's enough to want to tear my hair out.

Ok, enough rant...now onto the comic- I was going for a late 70s, early 80s old photo sort of feel to this - Isabel

Sofia's little pet name for Jake was a last minute add that I'm so in love with... her flirting with him in that middle panel went a little farther than I had intended- she was only going to be lightly aiming her fingers in his general direction in the first draft. But this way is much more blatant... and we got Jake's reaction out of it all too. -Isabel

It was mentioned a while back that Jake has wheezing attacks when he's around girls on a one on one basis (so to speak- and I don't mean that literally- just hanging out with a potential mate can cause him to get anxious). Is this what you would call an anxiety attack? Perhaps... dunno... it's up to you (and Jake's doctor).

Does Sofia like Jake? Hmm... no, not really. She likes the idea of a man paying attention to her and liking her (something she is in low supply of as of late), but she doesn't see any future with Jake. Does Jake like Sofia? Heck yes.-Isabel

The way Jake reacts to women is more-than-a-little inspired by Brian van Hoose from the comic book Knights of the Dinner Table. A lot of Jake is inspired by Brian. We have influences, y'know? - Terrence

I love how Emily looks in the first panel.

I kinda wish Sofia had admitted to being curious and a little nosy in the last panel. Would have punched up the punchline a little - Terrence
