It's funny. I'm sure the cleaning crew does excellent work quickly. But Patrick doesn't want folks who do great work. He wants all of this to have not happened, and that's going to be difficult - Terrence

This comic was all Terrence- back when I read it, I gave him a little look (jokingly) and asked him how Patrick would know this... he gave me a defensive look and said there was a place in his old college town that loudly and proudly (my dorky words, not his) advertised their hourly rates. Hopefully he was only being jokingly defensive- maybe we were both really tired that day and missed those sarcastic signs we usually give each other... -Isabel

On the plus side, this guy doesn't show up again. Man, did his schtick get old. I like the idea of interesting one-shot characters showing up, doing their thing, and leaving. But five days is too much - Terrence

Patrick saying his pipes have burst and now needs a place to spend the night sounds like it should be a pick-up line... of course, it would probably need to be worded differently, but well, it was late and neither of them were feeling very creative. -Isabel

I am so thankful I didn't try and do an comic featuring bunny-people in the 80's- I didn't really find out about headsets as headphones till around 2001- thinking about it- I'm not even sure how well phones looked in the comics I did before ND (I think Joy used to use a "normal" phone back in the beginning). -Isabel
