Original Commentary
This was the original script:
Mon
M- Look, Mr.Windsor, do you or do you want to go out with Sofia?
P- Yes, I do-
M- Here is her phone number and address. I expect to hear from you tomorrow for the tickets.
P- And if she says no?
---
M- Ask what you can get if she says yes.
P- You're right... eh, thank you, Mrs. Taylor. Was there anything else you wanted to talk about?
M- No, but-
P- Then I'm going to get to lunch then.
--
M- Well, I was going to offer him a bonus... I don't even want to think about what he thinks he can get out of Sofia. ... Oh well, she's not my daughter, anyway.
So close and yet so different. I added a few things to show 1. Patrick was keeping tabs on Sofia, 2. He can be polite, sometimes and 3. Miz Taylor has a strange sense of humor. I think it makes for a better comic overall, or at least I hope it does. -Isabel Modern Commentary
Man, I wish we had used "All's fair in love and business" as a tagline. That was a good line.
We never did figure out how to promote the comic. We just hoped that as long as we kept doing it, the right people would find it. I don't think we came up with much better than "it's a story about these guys"...
