Original Commentary

I asked Terrence if he thought Emily and Sinclair are "There" in their relationship. He figured they have been going out for two or so weeks, and it wouldn't be that too far fetched for Emily to take things quickly... and well. Sinclair is rather enamored with her, so it's not too long of a shot seeing those two having a conversation about breakfast in their bathrobes. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
Sinclair isn't living there, but it's not entirely unexpected that he'd spend the night.

I can't imagine that Richard and his girlfriend Veronica mind. - Terrence

Original Commentary

Richard and Sinclair are not identical twins, despite this everyone thinks they are, and as such live identical lives. Back in the days of the Minerva theatre they used this brotherly bond as a part of their singing act, and I'm sure it definitely added to their overall appeal with the theatre goers. But deep down, they are individuals, with their own tastes and quirks. I hope to give you all a good feel at understanding these two, although don't ask me how you can tell them apart, because I can't myself. ^_^; -Isabel

Modern Commentary
I like how we eventually made Richard the (more) sensible one. Or, rather, we made Sinclair the significantly less sensible one - Terrence

Richard

Original Commentary

The last time we saw Emily, she was really quite drunk. Although I'm sure Sinclair did not take advantage of the fact (well, not TOO much, he did after all try to convince her he was the one she liked, not his brother). I get the feeling Richard is the older, more level headed of the two, with Sinclair being the artsy dreamer (I'm sure it was his idea to start singing, but I'm sure it was his brother who convinced him to go to college with him). -Isabel

Modern Commentary
The filename for the script is EmilyHasIssues.txt.

Sinclair also has issues. - Terrence

Original Commentary

You'd think that Richard and Sinclair would be used to people not telling them apart by now. It's not really polite to ask "Who do you think I am?", but I'm sure it happened in the past. If they're romantically involved with someone, they make sure she knows their name beforehand. Usually - Isabel

Modern Commentary
I mean, "Did I accidentally trick you into sleeping with me?" is never a great conversation-starter. - Terrence

Advice

Original Commentary

Since high school, technically. Then they didn't see each other for four years when Emily went to college and Kimberly didn't. There's more to the story, I'm sure, but telling it is low on our priority list - Terrence

Modern Commentary
Is "Hessian Pharmacies" a reference? I don't think so. I don't have time to listen to Caravan's entire discography.

Caravan is Richard Sinclair's band, and he's who Richard and Sinclair are named after. - Terrence

Worry

Original Commentary

Well, can you think of a better solution? Yes, you can? Well, you're not Sinclair. Anyhow, the girls tend to like Richard better, which is why he's insecure about it - Terrence

Modern Commentary
That's an even worse plan. People can hardly tell them apart now; imagine if they both had the same name too... - Terrence

catch-22

Original Commentary

This may be one of those ideas we both take credit for. If Sinclair told Kimberly about this, then Kimberly knows the solution to all of this and we'd need a good reason why she doesn't step in and solve it. It's nice how one plot point explains another sometimes - Terrence

Modern Commentary
One of the stories that I brainstormed was that Kimberly tried visiting Emily in college, but Emily blew her off or didn't call her back or something.

I never really went anywhere with it; perhaps it happened but it never really became a story that we needed to tell. We know where we are and why we're here; no point embellishing that journey - Terrence
