Kimberly
Sofia
Emily
Panic
Shout

Original Commentary

Just how did Emily get one of those Bridesmaid's dresses...? That, my friends, is the magic and menace of Emily... it looks like poor Kimberly's nightmares are coming true. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
Emily.

She's never going to stop Emily-ing. - Terrence

Tuesday, March 18th 2008 - [1103] Brisbane and Kimberly tie one on (14 of 24)
Jane
Kimberly
Sofia
Wedding

Original Commentary

Isabel was sick during our wedding - she was feeling uneasy and dizzy most of the time. She looks beautiful in the pictures, of course, but Kimberly is having a very similar experience. Of course, Isabel got sick the day she was coloring this comic, the exact way she did the day we got married, which is life imitating art imitating life - Terrence

I think I jinxed myself with this one, I really do... -Isabel

Modern Commentary
A pile driver involves lifting a person upside down and dropping them on their head. It's generally done by larger and stronger wrestlers.

I'm not saying that Lola can't do a piledriver. I am, however, saying that she might not be able to do it safely.

Lola is probably telling Emily this right now. - Terrence

Brisbane
Robert
Wedding

Original Commentary

I actually completely rewrote the last panel of this comic... this one fits better with what I was trying to show Brisbane feeling than the last one did.

Why is Robert so unsure about when he and Jane will be walking down the isle..? See the last three comics of this arc for more info. I'm sure if Brisbane had known, he would not have mentioned it. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
The officiant isn't anybody we'd recognize. He's just a guy they hired for the ceremony. - Terrence

Original Commentary

This comic was also heavily rewritten in the last stages of things to once again emphasize things more than the original had. And this version gives a contrast between Brisbane and Kimberly's thoughts... and how they actually are not that different from each other. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
I love how Isabel did this. - Terrence

perfect moment

Original Commentary

This comic, right here... this was the one that made me cry after I finished inking it. It really is such a sweet moment... I'm sure both Kimberly and Mr. Taylor wished they had more positive father daughter moments to share at this moment, but at the least they have more good times in common than Kimberly and her mother.

And the way Brisbane is looking at Kimberly in panel one... I honestly feel like crying when I look at it still... so I better stop and get back to work. ^_^ -Isabel

Modern Commentary
I'm so glad that Isabel wrote this. I wouldn't have given this the space to breathe that she did - Terrence

Original Commentary

This comic was such a good yet bad idea... I love the idea, but man did it take too long- with all the different characters, I might as well have just made it an eight panel comic- it would have been the same. But, well, at least we got to see Lola put Emily in a choke hold. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
This is one of my favorite YSIF moments. - Terrence
