Original Commentary
I was having trouble finding Sofia's emotion in these panels. I had originally saw her as more angry, then as not really caring while sketching while happy with a hint of evil while inking. I'm sure she's a mixture of all three emotions. I think Sofia took more after Sydney than Brisbane, personality-wise. Poor Sydney has no idea what he does to deserve this... the dense ones usually don't. -Isabel
Modern Commentary
Yeah, happy-and-a-little-evil was the right call in that second panel.
That's the thing about the Adams siblings - they know each other.

Original Commentary
originally I had foreseen panel three looking A LOT like panel three from the previous comic, with Sydney looking POed in it... but especially since these comics were going to appear one right after the other, I thought that to be a bad idea. So instead Sofia is just busying herself with rearranging the fake flowers in the hopes that her pompous ass of a brother will go away. Makes you wonder which of the two are actually the bigger pompous ass, considering Sydney actually does want to care for his brother and sister... just not to be taken advantage of (as Sofia had done when she stayed with him and over-stayed her welcome). -Isabel Modern Commentary
They really are similar. That's why Sofia living with Sydney was a bad idea. It's easy to resent in others the traits you see in yourself.
That and Sofia wasn't paying rent

Original Commentary
Is there any mother and daughter who ever fully agree on anything wedding related? I wouldn't know, as my own mother was 3,000 something miles away during my wedding... I think that was one of the things that made it hard to work on this arc, I'm happy for Brisbane and Kimberly, I really am, but man if this arc didn't bring up a few problems for me. Although I am grateful my wedding was like it was- I have a feeling if my side HAD been at the wedding, it would have been somewhat similar (drunken Bridesmaids and fighting mothers and daughters anyway) -Isabel
Modern Commentary
Long hair is kind of a pain in real life. It's easier in comics; it behaves the way it's drawn, y'know?

Original Commentary
Will we ever know the full story behind the bachelorette party? probably not... this isn't that kind of pay site. So take that and their conversation what you will. -Isabel Modern Commentary
On one hand, the bacherlorette party might have been good namirdeiter.net material. On the other hand, it would've mostly just been Emily drinking and yelling at scantily-clad male dancers; if you can imagine how the first page or two goes, I'd expect the rest to be similar

Friday, March 14th 2008 - [1100] Brisbane and Kimberly tie one on (11 of 24)
Original Commentary
Poor Kimberly, for such exciting dreams, they certainly are bland and don't make her think too much about them to try and find out what her subconscious is thinking about... but I'm sure it's for the best. She has a lot of her plate right now and can't think thinking about what the flying monkeys in tuxedos flying to a sock hop is about. -Isabel
Modern Commentary
One of the final Unlike Minerva illustrations had Kimberly in a red wedding dress. I liked that, but I like this dress too.
Note that this dress is off-white; some folks could get a bit traditional about white wedding dresses being for virgins, and Kimberly has been shacking up with Brisbane for a while.
The eggshell dress was probably her mom's idea. Also, easier to shade.

Original Commentary
...XD dang, I don't even know where to being on this one. This one says so much more about Sydney than anything in the last week.
And this is the first time we've seen Mr. Taylor called by a nickname... Constance must be pretty cheesed off at him. -Isabel Modern Commentary
Note that nobody told Sydney that Kimberly's mom was single.
He's just out there shooting his shot and seeing how his night goes.
