 Monday, February 11th 2008 - [1072] Sofia's many talents (19 of 24)
Original Commentary
Was Sofia ever "in love" with Dr. Paul...? I'm sure a small part of her had to have been... it was more than an infatuation, as she did a bunch of icky things (outside of a hotel room) just to hang out with him... you don't scoop poop just because you want to hang out with someone you kind of like. Or maybe some people would... but somehow I doubt Sofia is one of those people. If anything I'm sure the angle of "she wants to hurt him" is playing a big factor in all this. -Isabel
Modern Commentary
If you feel bad for Dr. Paul, just remember it was his idea to have this conversation in the first place.
He could've just left it at "Hey, last time was a bit awkward. Are we cool?". Except, well, he couldn't.

Original Commentary
Got a bit ahead of myself in yesterday's commentary, didn't I...
Well, Paul seems to have more of a grasp of things than Sofia, it seems. Sometimes it's the thought that counts. -Isabel Modern Commentary
I'm sure there's a lot more that goes on in volunteer shelters. But feeding and cleaning are constant, I'm sure

 Wednesday, February 13th 2008 - [1074] Sofia's many talents (21 of 24)
Original Commentary
Now, if the situation were different, Sofia defend her right to sleep with whoever she wants. However, that's not an argument she wants to have right now, and that's not really something she's proud of. Now, if that night with Caleb went differently, well, a lot of things would be different - Terrence
Modern Commentary
...he had to get that little dig in at her, calling her loose. Not cool, doc. If you want to have a normal friendship with Sofia, "You're cool even though you're kinda easy" is not the way

Original Commentary
Paul is here of course comparing himself to a psychiatric doctor in panel three... Sofia sees the joke coming a mile away and counters with her own cheesy one-liner... hur hur hur.
Despite everything... despite Sofia's anger and Paul's fear of commitment... they really would have made a half decent Vaudeville act (of course, Sofia would need to be wearing less clothes and more big feathers in her hair, but dems are the breaks. -Isabel Modern Commentary
So, why else do folks stop volunteering? I'd imagine that there's a bit of "I fulfilled my court-ordered community service" and a lot of "I thought it would be fun to play with baby brants. Instead it's stinky and depressing and they're all scared of me"

 Friday, February 15th 2008 - [1076] Sofia's many talents (23 of 24)
Original Commentary
I love it when Isabel ties everything together like this. Caleb is a very good performer. We rarely saw him on stage in Unlike Minerva because of that - I didn't have any idea how to show a great vaudeville performance in three panels - Terrence
Modern Commentary
Seriously, Caleb was their star act. That's why he's still performing and everyone else is working a day job

Original Commentary
So, what is Brent? We haven't answered that, but he's a shorthair one. I wonder what a longhair would look like - Terrence Modern Commentary
Dude is just stringing Sofia along. It's never going to work out between them. They both know that. He's just trying to keep her in his orbit and hope that she changes for him.
She can do better
