Did Jane want their help? Maybe a little... she at least wanted to talk to someone about it... but I don't think she meant for Emily to start planning something... at least she got Emily's mind off her problems with David, so the night was not a total bust. -Isabel

I was thinking of giving Emily a starry eyes sort of smile... but that would have been too much for even me to take. Ackness indeed.

Emily is always looking into ways to talk to Kimberly, it seems. Just about everything she plans in some way involves Kimberly. I'd call her obsessed, but I don't think she has the drive to be obsessive over anything that isn't her. -Isabel

I like how Sofia addresses Brisbane as 'brother'. Not only is it exposition, it's a remnant of her more imperial days, back when she'd order him around. (or when she'd order him around more, at least) - Terrence

Did we just mention that they're siblings last comic? Yes. But it's good to reiterate now that they're both in the same comic. Make things more clear that way.

There have been times I'm reading a comic - maybe I'm picking it up after taking a month or two off - and I've forgotten some of the connections between the characters. It's good to reiterate - Terrence

See the second panel? That's the first time in years I've had the phone speech bubbles come out looking like I wanted them to. I should've put less bends in Sofia's line in the second panel, so as to make it obvious that it was heard more clearly than Emily in the background, but if I changed it, I'd never get it looking quite that good again - Terrence

I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. They're overdone and draw way too much attention to themselves. They draw the eye away from the text and the characters

I'm sure there are better tools these days to make the spacing between the lines more consistent, but there weren't any back in Photoshop 6.5. - Terrence

Nope, Brisbane has no idea. Unlike Emily and Sofia, he's fairly drama-resistant. Or at least he has his own drama to worry about instead of bothering with other peoples' drama and creating more - Terrence

I'm sure Sofia is just as interested in all this as Emily... only she's far less interested in as Emily and doesn't wish to butt into Jane's business... but help Emily butt into Jane's business? She is moraleless enough for that. -Isabel

Y'know, I kinda like Emily. She's not a nice person but when she decides to do something, she does it. She's a very active character, where Brisbane and Kimberly are both reactive. - Terrence
