Original Commentary
Poor Brisbane... (lots of poor men today, huh?) he probably never receives visitors, let alone any messages (I'm sure he's the one who visits Kimberly, as she doesn't want to get anywhere that close to her mother if she can so help it), so he's probably trained to give an automatic message whenever Miz Taylor is out... he's a good little minion like that. -Isabel
Modern Commentary
Just a random guy. Probably should have made up a minor character for when Brisbane needs to talk to a generic office guy.
That's why Brisbane doesn't call him by name. It helps signify that this is just some dude and you're not expected to recognize or remember him.
I'm sure Brisbane knows who this guy is, but I don't.

Original Commentary
I'm sure Robert sent him an e-mail or two. I'm not sure if Brisbane even knows how to use e-mail. Why? Because I'm a computer technician in my day job and I prefer my characters not be too similar to me - Terrence Modern Commentary
Robert is worried. Why? Well, mainly because he's Robert and worrying is what he does

Original Commentary
Jane is hard to shop for, for reasons that have not yet fully been revealed. But that's neither here nor there. Suffice to say that Robert has known her for a long time and she's gone through a number of changes between now and then - Terrence
Modern Commentary
Sofia would have gotten it on the first guess because she's observant. Sandra - who hasn't shown up yet - would have gotten it on the first guess because she's empathetic. Kimberly would have just waited for Robert to tell her.
