(lots of poor men today, huh?) he probably never receives visitors, let alone any messages (I'm sure he's the one who visits Kimberly, as she doesn't want to get anywhere that close to her mother if she can so help it), so he's probably trained to give an automatic message whenever Miz Taylor is out... he's a good little minion like that. -Isabel

Just a random guy. Probably should have made up a minor character for when Brisbane needs to talk to a generic office guy.

That's why Brisbane doesn't call him by name. It helps signify that this is just some dude and you're not expected to recognize or remember him.
