Original Commentary
A few weeks back, I mentioned that I accidentally drew a comic a week ahead of schedule. This is that comic. Since we made the donation goal, more comics were added to The Dance to round it out - Isabel I suppose the title of this arc is a bit of a spoiler - it involves a chair at some point, and there's trouble - Terrence Modern Commentary
This is during the middle of the day. Ms. Taylor just summoned everybody because deep down she does not respect their time.

Original Commentary
Most of the time Terrence does not give me any scene directions (more often, but also somewhat rare are character emotion directions). Sometimes I use this to my advantage and do things like this. So no, it was not in the original plan to have Miz Taylor make a Powerpointisque presentation for a minute long meeting or Brisbane waving his hand like he was back in the first grade (or Kimberly's chagrined look for that matter), but man does this really compound their character traits. Got to do what you can after all. -Isabel Modern Commentary
As Isabel notes above, I don't give her a lot of direction sometimes.
One of the reasons is that when I don't, she does things like this. I mean, "Productivity without new chair" vs "Productivity with new chair" as a pie chart? I know I didn't have anything that could beat that.

Original Commentary
I moved Miz Taylor's panel two line back to panel one, I think it flows a little smoother that way... still kind of a clunky comic, but it's setting up things bigger than this arc itself, so please give it time. ^_^
At first, Miz Taylor had an annoyed, trying to smile looking on her face in panel three. But she looked like she was either embarrassed or constipated by the time I inked it, so I drew another face (with a few eye brow choices) to replace them. I came out alright... better than leaving it as it was. -Isabel Modern Commentary
Of course he's still raising his hand...

Original Commentary
It's been a while since we've seen Dan. I miss the wonderful, or not so wonderful, chemistry him and Miz Taylor have... is there a bubbling pit of forbidden passions boiling underneath all that hate (and tar)...? probably not. She's not his type anyway.
I believe the "previous agreement" is mentioned somewhere in this arc...somewhere.-Isabel Modern Commentary
They aren't operating by Robert's Rules of Order or any other strict parliamentary procedures. It's a mostly-informal system since Ms. Taylor has been able to do mostly just what she want for years.
Also, I don't really know parliamentary procedure and, if I did, it probably wouldn't be interesting nor funny.

Original Commentary
In the original draft, Kimberly had the paper from her grandfather on her. After talking with Terrence, he decided Brisbane should have the paper (since he was the one talking about this). But as I was drawing, I couldn't help but wonder why they would just happen to have this piece of paper on them. Terrence came up with Brisbane just plain telling Miz Taylor this fact, without proof... which, at the least, shows that she trusts him. Despite the fact that this information is being used against her. -Isabel Modern Commentary
And the big emotional moment comes down to math and percentages, once again...
Man, Kimberly is not happy with him here. He deserves the side-eye there

Original Commentary
Let's all take a drink in celebration of You Say it First hitting comic number 1234.... never thought I'd see the day... oh, and to Miz. Taylor totally getting pawnched by Brisbane. Totally.
originally, there was another man there walking along with Dan- this was before I gave the last comic another reading over and noticed that Brisbane mentioned that there only five people there. Opps. I may not be able to count to five, but I can count to four (as illustrated above). -Isabel Modern Commentary
I mean, power has been rebalanced. This is what Dan meant to do when he brought Kimberly into these meetings. Ms. Taylor's control over the company has been successfully challenged.
It's the smallest thing. An entirely inconsequential purchase. But this is a major step in the inevitable business showdown between Kimberly and her mother

Original Commentary
The narrative pretty much demanded that this happen, since Brisbane was up one in the last comic. Brisbane didn't think about the strategic implications of the trump card he was holding, unfortunately. In all fairness, a situation like this would've been rare. If some of the minor stockholders or Mr. Taylor had been there, they might've still been outvoted - Terrence Modern Commentary
Yeah, that's the kind of surprise you can only pull off once. Honestly, Kimberly's anger is justified. She said they should keep this to themselves and Brisbane, at very least, didn't disagree. This is something you only do when you have your wife/business partner's agreement.
Seriously, hold music...
Brisbane could've had a real victory here if he wasn't so Brisbane.
