Original Commentary

Jane's line in panel two originally ended after "Oh, I don't know..." but I decided I should do a little recap, because there are going to those who don't recall that sad little conversation they had... some time last year. Because, not everyone is a huge nerd like me and rereads things to try and make sure I remember as much as I can... -Isabel

Modern Commentary
I mean, when you look at what Brisbane and Kimberly have, don't you maybe want some of that for yourself?

Robert sure does. I'm sure part of it is that he sees his friends getting married and worries that he's being left behind - Terrence

Sofia
Ms. Taylor
Patrick
Panic

Original Commentary

This comic was completely rewritten from the original, in fact it originally involved Brisbane, Kimberly, Miz Taylor and a couple faceless characters, but this one works a lot better and sets things up for later. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
Yep! "Have Sofia meet Patrick" was on the checklist for this storyline.

The original script basically had Ms Taylor introducing potential clients to Brisbane and Kimberly, and thus counting the wedding as a tax-deductible business expense.

I like this version better - Terrence

Sydney
Sofia
Drunk
Creepy
Emily
Flirting

Original Commentary

Sydney's true sliminess has finally appeared, trying to take advantage for a poor drunken Emily. Of course, he could have said the exact same thing to her (without any alcohol involved) and the same results would occur.

Poor Sofia seems to have spent the entire reception on Emily Watch... not that she would have had any fun anyway... not counting Patrick, of course. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
Is Sofia protecting Sydney from Emily? Or is she protecting Emily from Sydney?

Neither. She just knows that if Emily marries into the family, they'll never be rid of her

And that's the last we'll see of him. We had talked about bringing him back but never found the right storyline for it. I know Isabel had a few pitches for him, and I think I did also.

In the distant future of Nicole and Derek he's still alive. Nicole has met him a few times, but he's not a regular presence in her life. - Terrence

Original Commentary

Not quite as detailed as the wallpaper version, but just as chibied... Sofia in the first panel wasn't actually supposed to have been there- that should have been Jane. But, well, it didn't really matter that much, there was no deeper meaning to who was going for the flowers over anyone else, just a bunch of girls (and Miz Taylor) going for it. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
Traditionally, the bride's bouquet is thrown towards the assembled single women and there's a superstition that whoever catches it will be the next one to get married.

That's why Jane isn't at the front of the pack - Terrence

Friday, March 28th 2008 - [1112] Brisbane and Kimberly tie one on (23 of 24)
Veronica
Richclair
Emily
New Character
Sinclair
Richard
Evil Plan
Drunk

Original Commentary

Terrence spelled checked this comic for me and I actually read the thing before it aired and to my horror, the spell checker had changed "Richclair". I was horrified. It... it just needed to be in there- it pretty much summed up Emily's understanding of just who Richard and Sinclair are (aka, she has no idea). But, it was caught, and I'm content.

Really glad I didn't cut this comic, Veronica had been mentioned before on .net, then the web comics, but this is her first appearance. I accidentally gave her Jacinda's lips, although she should not have had them. Force of habit. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
So yeah, the timeline does not allow for Emily to make her way to Sydney's room.

Just as well. If she had, Emily would have had some follow-up questions. For Sofia... - Terrence

Original Commentary

There you have it, folks. The end of a long day for those two.

Technically, Kimberly's last name is now Taylor-Adams, but saying "Mrs. Taylor-Adams" didn't sound very romantic to me at the time, and still kind of doesn't. So, Brisbane took the romantic side.

When doing arcs based on events that a lot of people have gone through, including myself, it's difficult for there to not be autobiographical moments. I ended up almost passing out myself, and pretty much felt like these two did after it was all said and done. I'd say I haven't felt that way since, but I actually had that same "all the blood in my body has left my head, making it feel ice cold and me wanting to lay down and/or throw up" feeling the day this comic (was supposed to have) aired. Or maybe the one before it. Either way.

Weddings are always emotionally stressful ordeals and this one was no exception. Everyone involved is very glad to have this one done and over (and thankful we will never have to do it again ^_^). -Isabel

Modern Commentary
And married! - Terrence
