Original Commentary
Originally, this was going to run on Sunday, and was going to show the first floor. I needed the extra panels for something, but I forgot what. Anyhow, I skipped forward in time. I don't do that much, but there really isn't much on the first floor that needed to be shown - Terrence
Modern Commentary
It's funny. I had envisioned Lemon Technology as a smaller company. The background that Isabel created for the building had it at six stories tall.
Rather than adjust my ideas of the company, there's now a backstory as to why they've got a building that's significantly larger and fancier than what they need.

Original Commentary
Have I mentioned that the IT department is in the basement? Well, if I did, they were speaking metaphorically. It's on the second floor. The basement doesn't really exist. Not much, at least. But it doesn't have windows - Terrence Modern Commentary
Brisbane is giving him the Entire Tour.
Again, Dan is not going to work in this building. The Sales and Marketing department is several blocks away. None of this will be relevant to Patrick's life.
I can't say I blame Patrick for thinking of Brisbane as more enthusiastic than helpful...

Original Commentary
My, but there are a lot of questions about the building and its history. I like exploring the past and explaining things. It may not be the most pressing question on anyone's mind, but I think it's an interesting story - Terrence
Modern Commentary
Sometimes you have to move things to see how they move. But usually, when things slow down a little in a larger storyline, it's because I need a day or two to rewrite upcoming sections
Still, I think I could have cut this comic and the previous one without losing much.
But there's a reason why you watch the ball game instead of just looking at the final score

Original Commentary
Yes, Miz Taylor looked a lot like Kimberly back in the day... and Mr. Taylor looks a lot like a certain person who's in the room with Dan and them... won't go too into that for now.
Originally Terrence had wanted there to be a picture of the outside of the sales building- which would have been great if we had seen the sales and marketing building before so it would be recognizable to the reader... that and it would require hours to render and there just wasn't time... the sales and such building will eventually be shown, just not today. -Isabel Modern Commentary
You'd think Dan would have some concerns about losing the new warehouse employee that was promised to his department.
I'm glad he didn't, because that isn't the direction this needs to go right now, and he's not about to go into that particular drama in front of the new guy.

Original Commentary
I get the feeling Kimberly took after her father quite a bit more than the people around her think... she has a real stubborn streak about what she wants sometimes... just like Mr. Taylor. After all, Kimberly was the one who took some junk her dad had in storage and made a business that sustained her for a few years. -Isabel
Modern Commentary
Here's Brisbane explaining what the company does in the second panel. Everybody here knows it, but readers would ask with some frequency back then. It had been a year or two since we had mentioned it

Original Commentary
Who actually owns the Lemon Tech. building? It has not been specified either way and Terrence isn't letting on, even to me. Although Mr. Taylor did have a lot to do with it, as we see -Isabel
I had the hardest time trying to figure out what business Mr. Taylor would've invested in. Hippedown doesn't seem like it'd have oil, and that'd be too Beverly Hillbillies. Gold mining seems too far-fetched. Video games seems too dated. So shipping. It's an island nation - Terrence Modern Commentary
You know Ms Taylor is telling him "We need the money for the baby!" in that last panel
