Original Commentary

...No, not like their father, but their mother. Ouch. I actually ended up punching up Sofia's insult a bit, as I forgot Why is this arc listed as TBA... well, TBA stands for "To be announced" and this arc has no title because, well, I'm still writing it. We're getting used to this schedule more, but I'm still not quite there yet. And today I just found out Terrence is working both Christmas Eve night AND Christmas morning. Not happy. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
I love the visual of Brisbane and Brent pacing together in the first panel. They don't share a lot but they're concerned about Sofia.

As you can tell from Sofia's dress, this is a direct continuation from the previous storyline - Terrence

Original Commentary

originally, Sofia was going to say "hun" to Brent, but that would have made Brisbane wanting her to say that to him kind of weird...and not what we're aiming for. So we removed it.

Modern Commentary
I kinda wish that Brent "hugging" Sofia was its own panel, between 2 and 3.

Kimberly was not worried about Sofia. She realizes that if Sofia isn't home until late, "the date went well" is a much more likely scenario than "dead in a ditch". - Terrence

Original Commentary

We were 99% done with this comic when the power went out. Right when I was in the middle of saving it, corrupting the file beyond recovery. So we had to recolor, re-letter, and re-shade it, which was highly disappointing. Especially after we spent an hour or so trying to repair the file - Terrence

Modern Commentary
We couldn't run this storyline today. This whole scenario could've been avoided if they just had cellphones.

If Sofia had just texted Brisbane, letting him know not to wait up then this whole thing could've been avoided. - Terrence

Original Commentary

I really don't know what to say with these comics anymore... hmm... I've been having a hard time writing this arc, I've been having a bad case of writer's block... I think I'll just end this arc by the end of the week, maybe set up a few things for an arc that will happen sometime next year and save what I was going to do in this arc for another arc... maybe it's the Holiday stress getting to me (or it's still Terrence's new schedule- either one, really). -Isabel

Modern Commentary
That smile on Brisbane's face in the last panel. I really like how this comic went. - Terrence

Original Commentary

Why hadn't this come up before? Because Sofia moved in quickly and because Brisbane isn't used to thinking of his sister as an adult. He misses the days of the Minerva Theatre when the worst he had to worry about was Caleb - Terrence

Modern Commentary
It's nice seeing them meet in the break room. They don't get to do that too often, unfortunately. - Terrence

Revision

Original Commentary

We had to reword rule one which was originally listed as "No one night stands" but there was no reason for Kimberly and Brisbane to be worried about that rule (as they are in a monogamous relationship), so we had to reword it- with the new line hinting that if Brisbane and Kimberly can choose her boyfriend, she can choose their significant others (and, if she wanted to, deem Kimberly not good enough for Brisbane). Thus, the stakes were far higher and all three rules made them worry. -Isabel

Modern Commentary
I'm not sure if rule 1 is reasonable. They shouldn't have veto power over Sofia's boyfriends but also I understand how they might not want just anybody in their apartment.

They never did make a revised list. - Terrence
