Bitterness

Original Commentary
Yes, Emily tapped with only one finger. What can I say, the girl has got strong fingers.

Modern Commentary
Y'know how the dynamic between Emily, Brisbane and Kimberly has been hinted at, mainly as something that happened in the previous comic? Well, we're about to see it. - Terrence

Brisbane
Emily
Old Rivalries

Original Commentary
If you couldn't tell, Brisbane and Emily don't really like each other. At all. Emily really needs to learn to share.

Modern Commentary
So, why doesn't Emily like Brisbane?
Well, there are a few possibilties I'll go over during this storyline.
One: Emily feels that Brisbane is competing for Kimberly's time and attention. This is one of the main ones. Because Brisbane is around, Kimberly has other people to hang out with and is spending less time with Emily.
You might say that Kimberly would rather hang around anybody other than Emily. Apart from Ms. Taylor you'd be right. - Terrence

Kimberly
Brisbane
Emily
Robe

Original Commentary
If Kimberly is a pessimist and Brisbane is a optimist, what does that make Emily? Completely clueless.

Modern Commentary
Two: Emily recognizes that Kimberly has changed, and Brisbane is the most obvious sign of that change and is responsible for some of it.
You can't undo the past. Years of loneliness and living by her wits have changed Kimberly from the shy high-schooler that Emily knew to the emotionally-distant merchant that she is today.
Her friendship with Brisbane isn't the cause of that. It's her way forward to something else. But if you want things to go back to how they once were, then taking him out of the picture is the first step. - Terrence
