I think a lot of that stuff was Kimberly's booth merchandise. I had always pictured her having a storage unit for it. Or her father having a network of storage units that she occasionally raided. But Kimberly didn't have a car, so it makes sense that she'd keep a decent stock on hand. It would be a hassle to walk to the storage unit, miles away, on a regular basis. - Terrence Thursday, July 15th 2004 - [62]Moving Day (15 of 17)

There's a balcony, so at least one side of the apartment is above ground level.
Also, that's kind of a mean joke from Kimberly. Dude just lost everything. He's just starting to get it back. Maybe the idea of losing it again is a sore spot.
But, y'know, boundaries are being re-discovered. She wouldn't be the first person to try for playfully mean and perhaps overshoot. - Terrence Saturday, July 17th 2004 - [63]Moving Day (16 of 17)

I'm not sure what time zone Sofia is in. I'm not sure what time zone Brisbane is in, really - that would involve me actually putting Hippedown on a map, which I am cautious to do.
I'd imagine that Brisbane managed to get the time zone difference wrong and was calling Sofia at all hours of the night.
Brisbane does not have a cellphone or a computer or an email address. He can't just text her. He can't send a message via social media since (a) they're probably not mutuals and (b) social media hadn't been invented yet. - Terrence
