Between the time this comic was written and when it was drawn, our cats knocked over our tree. They have a similar piece of cat-furniture to what Brent has. We didn't put lights up there, because they would've eaten them, and because they've knocked that over too - Terrence

Modern Commentary
Yeah, we haven't put up a full Christmas tree in years. We always have at least one cat who will chew the fake bristles off a plastic tree, for the sheer pleasure of chewing. And another cat who will jump into it and knock everything over.

We'd put lights up on their cat trees, like Sofia did, but we think they'd chew those too - Terrence
