Original Commentary

So, does Final Battle Adventure Online have any kind of pay-for-stuff program? They don't have a monthly subscription. There may be some way for players to buy accessories with real money, but you have to be logged on as that person. You can't buy giftcards in stores. Kimberly would probably just go on eBay and buy something there, which would be supporting gold farmers, and hackers, and such. Robert, of course, has strong opinions about this. This is one of the few things that he has strong opinions about - Terrence

Modern Commentary
Back in the day, if you wanted to buy something in an MMORPG, you'd have to go to eBay (or somewhere sketchier) and you'd probably get something that a hacker stole from another player's account.

Nowadays, every game has microtransactions and if you want to spend fifty bucks on in-game items, you can buy direct from the game publisher.

Funny how things have changed - Terrence
