Original Commentary
Kimberly wasn't exactly used to have a strange man living with her at the time, either.
Modern Commentary
I mean, not strangle strangle. But probably grabbed him by the neck. - Terrence
 Tuesday, November 30th 2004 - [155]New Horizons (2 of 11)
Original Commentary
Well, Brisbane found her PANTy drawer... he was half right.
Modern Commentary
Undergarments!
The stage directions are "(Brisbane is holding a bra, which he just pulled from Kimberly's drawer, and he dumbstruck at it)"
So, why isn't Brisbane at work right now? I guess Ms. Taylor decided she didn't need him today. Maybe it's a company-wide holiday. Or she's got a personal visitor and doesn't want Brisbane to meet him. - Terrence
 Wednesday, December 1st 2004 - [156]New Horizons (3 of 11)
Original Commentary
When Terrence was working at the Veteran's Hospital, he too carpooled till The Man changed all their schedules around. Kimberly and Terrence's jobs both shared the same fate.
Modern Commentary
Fortunately, Hippedown has a robust public transit system. Kimberly can just catch the next bus, which comes by at a regular interval, instead of having to read the schedule and make sure schedules line up for everything on her route.
Still, makes me glad I work from home now. - Terrence
 Thursday, December 2nd 2004 - [157]New Horizons (4 of 11)
Original Commentary
Not quite "famous last words" but it's sure close.
Modern Commentary
So...Kimberly woke up at 9:30, got dressed, left the apartment, took the bus, and now it's 9:15?
We obviously got one of those times wrong by an hour or two. It's been like this for eighteen years. It's in the script. It's in the print books. I know I'm re-lettering all of the comics, but I'm not fixing it.
Time zones. Maybe it's time zones. I would've told you the island was too small for multiple time zones, but perhaps I was wrong and we just never mentioned it before. - Terrence
 Friday, December 3rd 2004 - [158]New Horizons (5 of 11)
Original Commentary
When this comic first aired I didn't realize it was going to be over a weekend. I felt kind of bad about making people wait to see what poor Kimberly's fate was, but then Monday rolled around and I got over it.
Modern Commentary
And now she's "Miss Taylor". That's correct since she's unmarried and it was kinda weird having her be called "Ms. Taylor". That's her mother's name.
I'm not sure this is the only guy with antlers in our comics; we've got a lot of comics and there might be a guy in the background somewhere. But I'm pretty sure it's just this guy.
- Terrence
Yeah, antlers are a bitch to draw - Isabel
 Sunday, December 5th 2004 - [159]Brisbane's new hobby (1 of 1)
Modern Commentary
Out-of-continuity Sunday!
The male lead character in that manga suddenly found himself in the women's bath. Through no fault of his own, to be sure, but it just keeps happening. Like, every other chapter. He couldn't show up there that frequently if he were doing it on purpose. Kimberly's thumb is covering the naughtier bits.
There were a lot of manga back in the day where this happened. I'm not saying this was Love Hina but if it wasn't, it was probably something that wanted to be Love Hina.
Bad memories of Brisbane surprising Kimberly in the bath? Perhaps.
I think this made Kimberly seem a bit more prudish than we had intended.- Terrence
