That funnel cake sign was a font of my own creation- I think it came out rather nice...Terrence and I went to a county fair shortly before creating this arc... and shared a funnel cake. Call it art imitating life, if you'd like... I'd call it cute.

Modern Commentary
Back in the distant year of 2004, automatic font creation technology wasn't great. We printed out a form, Isabel filled in all the letters, and we scanned it and sent it back with twelve bucks. What we got was ok but the letter spacing was off and it wasn't suitable for much use. It's unfortunate, since Isabel has beautiful handwriting (but I tend to rewrite comics a lot as I go, which makes hand-lettering difficult) - Terrence
